
Dilthan Yolngunha is a ground-breaking traditional healing program which engages senior Yol\u women, their daughters and grand-daughters in the collection, preservation and administration of traditional medicines. It is designed to complement mainstream medical services, and increase the use of, and access to traditional medicines whilst facilitating the intergenerational transfer of knowledge. There are currently 15 women across three generations engaged in Dilthan Yol\unha. Current activities include:
•The propogation of a bush medicine pharmacy at Yirrnga Studio.
•The development of posters and other educational material on the use of bush medicine.
•The collection and storage of bush medicines for distribution in community clinics.
